Mission Statement

"Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18)

The following is a Vision of our church as co-workers with Christ and the Apostles of Old to be as a guide in our Ministry.

  1. It is the high calling of our church to win every member of the Apia Protestant and those who come to worship in it, so that they will come to know and receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. This is to effect within man what Jesus refers to as being "Born Again", a must in order for anyone to enter and see the Kingdom of God. (John 3:1-18)
  2. To bring each other into God's presence as a mature individual in Christ. (Col. 1:28)
  3. That we become a witnessing church through:
    (a) Person to Person Evangelism. (Mathew 28:19)
    (b) Christian Service. (James 2: 15-16)
  4. That we become a Missionary Sending Church by sending or supporting a Missionary or Missionaries already in the field. Paul himself was supported by the Phillipian Church. (Phillipians 4: 15-16)
  5. That we become a Praying Church.
  6. That we become actively involved in Building up of The Spiritual Temple(1 Peter 2: 5), which the lives of people.

Implementation of Our Vision
(Plan of Action)

1. The message of Salvation will continue to be preached without compromise and Altar Calls will be held as the Spirit leads.

2. Follow-Up sessions be held for those who have just made commitments to the Lord during the Altar Calls and through person to person contact.

3. Bible Studies be held at all opportunities for Both Adults and the Young People.

4. To be a Praying Church we have to seize every opportunity to pray, pray, pray. The following are the established ones for that purpose.

(i) Prayer Link at 5:00a.m. every morning, when we pray at our homes to thank God for the previous night and commit the new day unto His Arms. And even to pray for other needs.
(ii) We declare Wednesday as a Day of Prayer & Fasting. Where we commit unto the Lord our Special needs and those of others. A Prayer Meeting also will be held at 12:00p.m. at the Church.
(iii) Prayer Meetings on Friday Night at 9:30p.m. This prayer meeting will be used at times for Prayer Rides where those attending will go out to where the people are and pray for them.
(iv) Prayer Chains be held when there is a pressing need. Where we ensure that the participants will take turns to pray until morning.

The main issues to pray for are:

a. For the Spiritual Life of our church. That all may receive Salvation through Jesus Christ.
b. For God's protection through the covering of his blood against any attack of the Devil.
c. For the World, Samoa, and the needs of others and our own.

5. That Evangelism be taught in Seminars.

6. Seminars also be organized for the Church as a Whole which includes that for the Leadership and other age groups to suit their needs. Subjects to be considered included the Basics Doctrines of the church and other contemporary issues facing the Christians today.

7. That we continue to Teach to give God's way through the presentation of our Tithes and Offerings.

The above Vision is based on God's Vision for Humanity, which is to restore humanity where they ought to be and to 'have fellowship with Him forever.'
